New puppy pictures

There are some new photos of Juliet's litter up. As a recap, Juliet gave birth to eleven puppies on Oct 25. They are the "Shakespeare" litter and have litter names like Ophelia, Tybalt, and Miranda.

Planning for more shows

There are several dog shows coming up pretty close-by ... in Greenville, SC and close to Atlanta, and some in Clemson, SC. The problem is I don't know anything about any of the judges or how many dogs will be entered. I'd rather attend some smaller shows for a while instead of these majors, get our confidence up, maybe win a few. Mom told me that there are judge info mailing lists you can join so I'm going to see about that, do a little research.

Dog Shows

Today we took Chippy to a dog show in Concord, NC. It really wasn't much fun. The drive up was over two hours of Chippy drooling on me (she was sitting in my lap), then the show itself was absolutely packed. It was a major in whippet entries, so the competition was pretty fierce. Chippy was not thrilled about walking through the crowds and wasn't happy about the dog show in general. She showed pretty well but we were placed last in the class. I didn't feel like we deserved that but, having watched the classes before, I wasn't surprised. I would have placed the classes completely opposite of how the judge placed them. So we left pretty much immediately because Chippy was unhappy with the crowds and I was unhappy with being dumped.
